Occasionally, we get emails from people wanting to know exactly what LDSFriends.com is. First, let us tell you what we are not. We are not a LDS dating service. You are welcome to use LDSFriends.com to meet people (and even find your eternal companion if you so desire), but the community is not focused on “hooking” you up.
We are not a paid service. There are absolutely no plans to turn LDSFriends.com into a “paid to use” service. We may some day open a LDS store on the site to pay the bills, but you will never be charged to use any of the tools found on the site.
We are not owned, affiliated, operated, or even thought about by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We would love it if we were, but we’re not, and we don’t expect a phone call from President Monson anytime soon.
Now, here are the thing we are. We are an online LDS community focused on many aspects of building the kingdom of God. These aspects range from LDS themed projects to blogging our beliefs (and much, much more).
The people behind LDSFriends.com are a group of passionate individuals who love sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ anywhere, anytime. We come from different backgrounds and interests, but we are united in testifying of the truthfulness of the Restored Gospel.
Finally, we are friends. LDSFriends.com can be a place to share your frustration, but it is not home to hatred or “bashing” other’s beliefs—even if they are not our own. We welcome all people to be a part of LDSFriends.com, whether you are a member of the Church or not.
If you would like to know more just ask us, we promise to respond back as quickly as possible.
