Projects

Throughout the history of the Church, Latter-day Saints have been known to do amazing things when working harmoniously together. The city of Nauvoo, Illinois rivaled Chicago in size in its first few years of inception. Salt Lake City and parts of Utah were tamed by the hands of Mormon pioneers, and what was once a desolate desert is now the capital of Mormonism and a thriving state. From hard work, diligence, and often straight up stubbornness the Saints have truly turned sand into temples.

The Project section takes these same principles and invites anyone and everyone to participate in projects posted by other community members. Whether you are interested in creating Book of Mormon stick figure cartoons or recording the first audio tracks of the Journal of Discourses, we invite you to roll up your sleeves and “put your shoulder to the wheel.”

Guidelines

  • All projects must be LDS in nature and meet all guidelines listed.
  • Projects are approved by the site administrators. You can submit your project by selecting the orange Project Submission Form button below.
  • All projects are open to the LDSF community, but projects are allowed to limit the number of people who can assist in the project.
  • This is not a job board, all projects provide no monetary compensation. However, each project is required to give credit to the members who have participated.
  • You can submit a commercial project, which is defined as possible revenue after the completion of the project. However, all commercial projects must openly state this fact in their project submission.
  • All final productions of a project are the sole ownership of the project manager.
  • Depending on our mood, we may or may not add more guidelines in the future Ü.

Project Name Description Manager Additional Information
Sticks Of Joseph The goal of Sticks is to create flash based stick figure cartoons around the Book of Mormon. Currently there is one cartoon of Ammon and King Lamonia. Chad We will have a blog setup on LDSF shortly, but for the time being you can participate by going to www.SticksofJoseph.com
Journal of Discourses You can currently read the Journal of Discourses online, but there is no audio version of JOD. We are wanting to put together a community of people who are willing to read and record in their native tongue all 8,000 plus pages of the JOD. Paul I hope to have a downloadable version of the JOD put on LDSF’s shortly. Please use the contact form on LDSF to ask additional questions.
LDS WordPress Themes Here at LDSF we have made it possible for all members to receive a blog. However, we currently only have one LDS themed design for people to choose from. If you are a web designer and know how to design WordPress themes we encourage you to submit your LDS designs. If we choose your design we will code it into a theme. LDSF Contact us for more details.
LDS Facebook Apps We have several gifted programmers who can take your ideas and make them into Facebook/Mobile Apps. If you have an idea, but not the means to program your idea, let us know and we will see what we can do. LDSF Contact us for more details.
